| Bio | Studied at UKZN both Durban and Pietermaritzburg campuses. Worked for the then Natal education department as a school psychologist and latterly as clinic head for the south coast area of KZN. Went into private practice inthe mid 1990's when it beco=ame evident that the educstion department's psychological services was about to undergo significant changes that i believed would negatively impact on my growth as a psychologist. I was a committee member of childline for some years finally becoming director for a year before commitments elsewhere necessitated my resignng from that position. Since going into private practice Ihave developed a strong interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy and have worked more extensively with adults than with children although I still do considerable work with young children and adolescents. I have an interest in intellectually challenged children and was the consultant psychologist for Golden Hours school for the severely mentally handicapped for some years before setting up a practice on the south coast where I have worked since the mid 1970's |
